Why Home Salons Australia?

So as I sat on my couch with no voice, severe laryngitis I decided to go for it. That may sound so simple but for anyone who knows me well knows that I often overthink and anxiety kicks in. I was never really a go for it girl but i loved challenging myself. I had always wanted to help people but never really knew how to in the hairdressing/beauty industry. I mean i was helping people feel and look amazing in my day to day job that i absolutely love BUT i wanted more.

Home Salons came from an idea of no real plan, just a see where it takes me attitude. This has guided me along the journey so far and the business has now evolved so much since it began a few years ago. My wish and hope was for all home salon owners/employees to feel just as valued and respected as a commercial salon. After all we have the same talent and expertise we once had in a commercial site. it was just purely a different setting. I wanted company's to take us just as seriously. I needed clients to realize that a home salon didn't mean they would forego their luxury experience. I wanted more than anything to start to see a shift. Where those who work alone felt supported and still had a connection with others, especially those navigating the same challenges and triumphs. A place where we could network and make connections. A safe place, that's exactly what i wanted.

It was through speaking to so many of you and getting to know your struggles and so many fears that i knew i COULD help. I could share all my experiences of 20 plus years in the industry. To help you feel like you had that someone that i never had, but so wished i had of. To help you change bad habits that had crept in. To find the balance that had been lost. To watch you grow and succeed in ways you never thought possible while achieving all your hopes and dreams.

I strongly believe in being supported and feeling valued. As i run my own home salon and navigate the day to day runnings of two businesses i can fully understand where you are and what you are going through because hey? i'm living it myself, but i love it. I love it more than i ever have because i truly believe i've built the right foundations for a happy balanced business. (for the most part)

I absolutely love every single one of my coaching clients and i am like a proud mum when i see you kick ass.

So if your wondering why? this is my why, i LOVE my job, i always have but it hasn't always been easy. Its been really hard and it still can be. But seeing people succeed in an industry that i love brings me more joy than you could imagine. I love seeing the movement, the shift that is happening for all of us home salon owners. I am proud.Proud to be your cheerleader on the sidelines.
